CincyHop is a community-run organization whose mission is to preserve and cultivate swing dance culture in Cincinnati through community engagement, education, and regular dance events. CincyHop’s vision is a vibrant and community-driven Cincinnati swing dance scene.

After the official conclusion of the Cincinnati Lindy Exchange event in 2015, a group of passionate swing dancers from the Greater Cincinnati area got together to start up a brand new annual event with the same familiar dances. CincyHop had a fun and successful first exchange in 2016. CincyHop was put on hold in 2020 and 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but returned in 2022…with attendance higher than in any prior year.

CincyHop hosts two key events in the Cincinnati swing dance community:

  • CincyHop Exchange: a weekend packed full of live music and social dancing, held every August
  • New Year’s Eve Dance: a one-night celebration to ring in the new year
  • Previously, CincyHop also hosted LindyShop, a one-day Lindy hop workshop and dance.
