About CincyHop

CincyHop’s mission is to preserve and cultivate swing dance culture in Cincinnati through community engagement, education, and regular dance events. CincyHop’s vision is a vibrant and community-driven Cincinnati swing dance scene.
After the official conclusion of the Cincinnati Lindy Exchange event in 2015, a group of passionate swing dancers from the Greater Cincinnati area got together to start up a brand new annual event with the same familiar dances. CincyHop had a fun and successful first exchange in 2016.
CincyHop has grown to host several key events in the Cincinnati swing dance community:
- CincyHop Exchange: a weekend packed full of live music and social dancing that occurs annually in August
- LindyShop: a one-day Lindy hop workshop and evening dance, typically held in the spring
- New Year’s Eve Dance: a one-night celebration to ring in the new year with swing dancing

CincyHop is a community-led dance organization. The committee meetings are open to all, and new board positions open up every year. Committee meetings are published on Facebook, and all are welcome to attend and bring a friend. We appreciate any contributions you can bring or any small way you can help. Don’t know how to help? Show up for the free food, and we’ll find a place for you. View upcoming CincyHop events HERE.
